Heavy Rain Coming to Parts of Saskatchewan

As the long weekend approaches you may want to have your rubber boots and rain ponchos ready if you’re going to be outside.

Rainfall warnings have been issued across a wide region of central Saskatchewan. Kindersely, Rosetown, Dinsmore, Saskatoon, Davidson, Keneston, Imperial, Govan, Lanigan, Wynyard, Watrous, Wadena, Foam Lake, Ituna, and Margo areas are all under the warning.

According to Environment Canada, heavy rain is expected to start tonight across the central regions of the province as the system moves out by Friday evening. 40mm to 60mm of rain is possible with this weather system and depending on heavier bursts of rain may bring up to 80mm of rain in some places.

Environment Canada is reminding people to watch out for flooding in low lying areas and to be aware of possible washouts near culverts and creeks.
