Oh! Canada How Great Thou Art! (Audio)

Summer is officially here! Not only does the calendar say it, but kids are screaming it! School’s out for summer and if you plan on a road trip, make it a good one. For most, Monday is a bonus day extending this weekend. With music festivals looming, pack up the camper, the tent, the van or whatever you might sleep in and prepare to begin the adventure. Give it a test run!

Good Morning Saskatchewan had a chance to speak with Brice Perkin about the events taking place around Wascana Park for Canada Day 2024. Canadian rock band, 54-40 takes to the stage Monday night and a fireworks display wraps up the busy day at approximately10:30 pm.

There’s nothing better than enjoying the sights and sounds of Canada Day activities. It could be a gathering of friends in the back yard to enjoy a BBQ and drinks, heading to the beach for a fire with hotdogs and smores, attending a ball tournament in your home town. A good weekend to enjoy a family or school reunion, because as long as you are with people, weather doesn’t matter! Conversation, laughter, face painting and music make things exceptionally Canadian. Load the flag pole up with a crisp Maple Leaf flag flapping in the wind. Stand at attention when the anthem is played. Be proud of the ground we stand on.

Government House is alive with Canada Day celebrations. Events from 1pm to 4pm. https://govhousesociety.ca/
