Chris Henderson joined Good Morning Saskatchewan to debut a brand new song based on an actual conversation. The Saskatchewan singer and songwriter dropped his latest single, “Wish My Heart” near the start of summer and says it’s based on a real conversation with a friend.
“A few year back we were talking and she mentioned that she got back together with an ex-boyfriend, which is her achilleas heel as she has terrible taste in men and when she told me that I said ‘what are you doing and why?’ She said I wish my heart had a brain,” explained Henderson.
Based on that conversation he crafted a new, reflective song about life and relationships. The new single is part of a new album that Henderson is working on which he feels will be more roots-country and mature sounding than his previous albums. He expects to have the new project out in early 2025.

Henderson will also be playing the Sask Music Songwriters Showcase at Country Thunder Saskatchewan on Friday, July 12th at 2:30pm.
