Receiver puts Leon’s Manufacturing up for sale

Leon’s Manufacturing in Yorkton is up for sale.

After numerous financial difficulties were reported and the company missed payments to B-MO, Leon’s, along with Ram Industries, was placed into receivership on June 11.

The company, which had been in business for over 70 years, owes B-MO more than $16.6 million.

On Tuesday, the receiver, Ernst and Young, posted that until July 31, it is accepting offers to either purchase Leon’s physical assets, including the real estate, tools, equipment and rolling stock, or proposals to liquidate the company’s assets.

The prospective buyers have the option to buy individual items, or the entire block, located at 135 York Road East.
