Police were dispatched to Elphinstone Street on Tuesday morning at 7:20 a.m. for a reported weapons offense.

A group of youths had bear sprayed and assaulted two victims at a bus stop. The victims’ descriptions helped police quickly arrest three suspects.

A 13-year-old was charged with assault with a weapon, another 13-year-old faced additional charges for failing to comply, and a 14-year-old was charged with assault, failing to comply, and possession of a wildlife control product.

All three appeared in Youth Court on the same day.
