Both hospitals are currently on lockdown.

An alert posted to the SHA X account says staff and leadership are working with the Saskatoon police to ensure the safety of patients and staff and have activated the appropriate protocols.

The lockdown restricts access of public and patients to the facilities. Patients requiring emergency medial attention can see care at St. Paul’s Hospital’s or City Hospital’s emergency departments.

Patients with impacted medical appointments will be called o reschedule at a later date.

The SHA says it will provide updates for patients, staff and the public as they become available.
