You will be able to check “summer fun with the family” off of your “to-do” list this weekend.
The Riders will be hosting the Edmonton Elks at Mosaic Saturday, and with the Queen City Ex going on at the same time there are some changes, but also some more opportunities for fun.
First, there is no “game day” parking at the stadium this week.
Use other options like Rider Transit which starts running one hour and 45 minutes before kick off.
There is also a bike valet, if you choose to ride your bike to the game, and your ride will be safely stored while you are inside the stadium.
Confederation Park is a big part of the Queen City Ex, so there is no pre-game “Party in the Park” this week. That does not mean there will be no pre-game entertainment.
Harvard Media is sponsoring a mini donut eating contest with International Champion Joey Chestnut, famous for his many wins at the 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island, New York.
Chestnut will take on a roster of challengers that includes star Roughriders Jermarcus Hardrick, Anthony Lanier II and Charbel Dabire! All proceeds for this event go towards supporting The Regina Food Bank.
After the game, make sure you swing through Confederation Park again, where Canadian country music star Jess Moskaluke will be performing.
You can also catch “Countdown to Kick Off” and the “Rider Nation Pre Game Show” in Harvard Media’s Studio 620 Lounge before the game.
Your ticket to the Rider game, also gets you into the Queen City Ex, so you can have some fun exploring the midway, or the many other fun activities spread throughout the REAL District.
