Man charged after weapon complaint in Moose Jaw

Moose Jaw Police have charged a man with a number of weapon-related offences, following an incident in the city Friday.

Police were called out to a weapons complaint, after an individual allegedly pointed a weapon at a group of people near Langdon Crescent.

The gun, which turned out to be a pellet gun, was concealed in a bag, before being taken out to intimidate the group.

No one was injured in the incident, and police say the accused and the group know each other.

The 18-year-old man was arrested without incident, and will appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a later date, charged with Assault with a Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Pointing a Firearm, and Carrying a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to the Public.
