RCMP able to identify human remains found near Moose Jaw

On April 28, human remains were found in a rural area northeast of Moose Jaw, leading to an investigation by Moose Jaw RCMP.

Police released images of items found nearby to help identify the person and searched the area, finding unreadable papers. Forensic experts re-hydrated the papers, revealing a potential name. DNA analysis confirmed the remains as those of a Saskatchewan man.

The RCMP has notified the family and will not release his name, as the death is not suspicious and the family has requested privacy.
