Big day for myself and thousands of others. National Radio Day – August 20 is observed every year to honor one of the world’s greatest inventions – the radio.

It has not only been a great source of entertainment for years but the military and police also use it for communication. The radio is also a great asset for pilots and captains for navigation.

Here at 620 CKRM my goal, has been, and will be, to bring a smile to our listeners face and be a mirror on our communities with local stories/news & events…… and lets not forget the great music.

I have to thank everyone who made my journey possible. Especially my wife Donnie of 34 years for all the support/love and sacrifices.

I’ve had a lot of doors opened for me and I still can’t believe/realize the people I have met along the way and the things I’ve been able to do. I hope this ride lasts a long time, but if not I am a very content man.

620 CKRM is celebrating a 100 years in 2026. I’ve been with them for 30 of those years and near 40 in total in the biz. It’s been my privilege to be a part of your day.
