University of Regina Rams quarterback Noah Pelletier has been named the Canada West offensive player of the week.
Pelletier stepped into the QB1 role and delivered during a 33-28 win over provincial rival Saskatchewan.
The third-year Regina native threw for 359 yards with 3 touchdowns while showing his arm with impressive touchdown strikes from 43 and 45 yards.
He finished with video game numbers in the win, completing 26-of-31 passes to set a Rams single-game record with an 83.9 completion percentage. The previous record was 78.8 percent, which Noah Picton set in a game against Saskatchewan back on October 30, 2015 at old Mosaic Stadium.
Pelletier and the 2-0 Rams host the 0-2 University of British Columbia Thunderbirds on Saturday at 2 p.m. Brendan McGuire has the call live on 620 CKRM.
