Three people now facing charges in suspicious death in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Second update: Police reported on Sept. 18 that another woman has been charged in relation to the homicide that occurred Aug. 16. 

On Sept. 16, police arrested and charged  a 27-year-old Saskatoon woman for being accessory after the fact to murder. The woman was also charged with indecently interfere with and offer indignity to human remains.

The woman made her first court appearance on Sept. 17. 

Update: Two people are now facing charges in relation to Saskatoon’s 12th homicide of 2024.

On Aug. 16, police attended to a home in the 200 block of Avenue I South in response to information of an injured person.

Upon arrival, when officers were engaging with the occupants of the home, human remains were located on the property. At that time, the occupants of the home were taken into custody for a homicide investigation.

As a result, a 37-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with 2nd degree murder, and a 24-year-old Saskatoon woman is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Next of kin has been notified and the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Jordan Lee Morin.

The Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section is still investigating.

Original post: The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are investigating a suspicious death in the 200 block of Avenue I South in Saskatoon.

At this time, the deceased has not been identified and several people have been taken into custody to be interviewed.

The investigation is ongoing.
