The latest Premier popularity ratings from Angus Reid have just dropped, and after being in the top third for most of the last six years, Saskatchewan’s Scott Moe is now fifth in the country at 45 per cent.
People in each province were asked about their approval of their premiers.
Moe is behind Wab Kinew’s 66 per cent, and a three way tie of Danielle Smith from Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador’s Andrew Furey and B.C.’s David Eby at 46 per cent. Locally, Premier Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party face a tighter race against the NDP, with a seven-point gap separating the two parties, according to August polling.
Moe’s approval rating marks a downward trend, and the lowest rating he’s had in nearly three years.
Angus Reid said health care, the cost of living, and the economy remain top concerns for voters, who are likely facing an election next month.
New Brunswick’s Blaine Higgs, who just called an early election, is at the bottom of the poll at 30 per cent.
