It’s hard to believe that our Country Cookouts are officially over for the 2024 season. We had a great run this year and it all wrapped up at the Zepicks near Kipling. Brody, the son, called in to pick up the win. Brody and I had a great visit.
None of our cookouts are possible without all of the great sponsors involved. A heartfelt thankyou to everybody who jumped on board to make these cookouts special. Other’s try to imitate/duplicate us, but we are the original and from all the feedback the one that is unsurpassed.
To the 620 CKRM/Harvard Media crew…..wow what can we say, but you are all the pinnacles of what you do to make us the best and second to none….Nick Kaczmar, Teagan Witko, Cody Glydon, Gloria Evans, Ryan Young, Perry Nyhus, Colin Laird, Landon Van Everdink, Cindy Michaels, Travis Stewart, Curtis Gammon, Ryan Mochoruk.
I always love stopping into communities on my way to our destination. We cruised highway 48 making several stops along the the way. First stop was Candiac, where Dad and went to quite a few auctions and bought horses there over the years. I have never seen a small hamlet with so much antique machinery around the yard. Very cool.
Next stop was Glenavon.
Peebles made the destination stops.
Hello Windthorst…made a lot of stops here back in the day for tractor parts and also loved to head to J’s hotel for the steak pit.
Neelby, just west of Kipling is no more except for the aged sentinels’ that guard the area.
We made it to Kipling around 2pm.
We’re off to the Zepicks’ north of Kipling.
Time for the group images
