This past weekend was a busy one for garage sales and rummage sales in Regina as people take full advantage of the beautiful autumn weather. Westminster United Church held a rummage sale Friday evening and the Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre held a large sale on Saturday. Both locations had a strong turnout from bargain hunters including Gloria, Jeff, and I (Cody).
Our mission was to take $5 to either a rummage sale or a second hand store and see what interesting item (or items) we could find. This is something that morning news anchor Jeff Richards likes to do with his family occasionally so we thought we’d give it a try. It’s not uncommon to hear about people finding something incredibly valuable at a thrift shop or a rummage sale after only spending a few dollars. I don’t think any of the items we found will let us coast into retirement, but they’re interesting nonetheless.
Take a look!
