Six children have injuries described as “serious”, after a school bus crash near Tisdale,

The crash happened yesterday afternoon at  Township Road 424 and Range Road 2160, 22 kilometres south west of Tisdale.

According to the RCMP there were  27 students between the ages of 14 and 17 on the bus, as well as an adult driver.

26 students and the bus driver were taken to hospital.  One student was lifted by STARS Air Ambulance to Saskatoon. 21 of the students had non life threatening injuries, but the bus driver was seriously hurt.

The RCMP say the bus was upright in a ditch, but were unable to say if any other vehicles were involved, or how the bus ended up in the ditch.
Their investigation is  continuing.
