Grey Cup streaker not welcome back

There were a lot of highlights from the 111th Grey Cup in Vancouver this year. From the half time show with the Jonas Brothers to the outcome of the game between Toronto and Winnipeg, fans are still discussing the game and expressing excitement for the 2025 CFL season. Social media was abuzz about the nude streaker who ran across the field during the game, a stunt that has led to her being banned.

The attention-seeking runner was completely nude as she ran across the field wearing only shoes and holding a jacket under her arm. Usually security and police have to chase these types of people down, handcuff them, and escort them off the field. In this case, she seemed to run directly to law enforcement who then guided her off the field. She was then taken to hospital as part of a wellness check.

The stunt did not impress officials at BC Place in Vancouver, who elected to ban her from the venue. It’s not clear if this is a lifetime ban from the facility or just for a pre-determined amount of time. Regardless, she wore out her welcome real fast on Sunday.

The stunt not only made headlines in the Canada, it was made sports news in the United States with multiple media outlets showing pictures and video of the incident.

This isn’t the first time someone decided to run on the Grey Cup field naked. In 1975 a woman in Calgary appeared topless around the time of the opening coin toss in -20C weather.
