The LeRoy Leisure Lotto is being hailed a success once again despite having some challenges brought on by the recent Canada Post strike. All 34 draws were made Saturday evening at the local community centre after a special pulled pork supper for community members courtesy of the Wildlife Federation.

Congratulations to all the winners this year, specifically the grand prize winners:

50/50 winner : Michael Swityk of Spiritwood, SK

Third Prize ($5,000): Edward Lozinski of Archerwill, SK

Second Prize ($10,00 or a hot tub): Elsie Skolrood of Maidstone, SK

Grand Prize Winner: Earl Schulte of Englefeld, SK. The grand prize winner had the option of a leisure package, which included their choice of truck, a travel trailer, and the choice of rec vehicle, or $130,000 cash.

There were also ten draws of $500 made Saturday evening and twenty draws of $1,000. Winners were from as far north as Beauval, SK and as far south as Fort Qu’Appelle and Emerald Park.

The volunteer driven LeRoy Leisure Lotto celebrated their 21st anniversary this year and thanks to its success many local organizations have benefited from the proceeds such as the daycare, minor hockey, senior citizen’s centre, Leisureland, and minor baseball.
