File Hills Police Service and RCMP Major Crimes are investigating a suspicious death on Little Black Bear First Nation. Officers found 20-year-old Devin Bellegarde injured at a residence Wednesday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An adult female was arrested, and further investigation led to a manslaughter charge against 20-year-old Danielle Panipekeesick. She appeared in Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court on Thursday. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Bellegarde’s death.
