Try It Free!

Winter activities might be a bit daunting if you weren’t privy to skiing, skating or snowshoes when you grew up. Enter the City of Regina. This winter you’ll be able to join in some free events, whether public skating at a variety of city rinks or making the rounds on the weekends to a Try It Free Session. Throughout January from 1 to 4pm at the North West Leisure Centre you’ll be able to try snowshoeing, play outdoor games and do crafts.

The City has other events planned for Mount Pleasant, February 22nd with the Off-Road Mountain BIke Syndicate Club. From 1 – 4pm, those 16 years and over can try a fat bike on the groomed trail around the Sports Park. The Community Campfire hosted by Village Mama’s will be stoked up and of course there is tobogganing!

January 11, the Eastview Park Outdoor Rink will offer an afternoon of skating with Skate and Spin. The music will be playing and for those into crafting – Build a Birdfeeder. As always dress warmly for being outside and having some winter fun.

Star Stories Night is February 28th at these locations: Regina Public Library at Mamaweyatitan Centre, Saskatchewan Science Centre and Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre. There will be a shuttle service to each of the locations.

For details on these events, check out the City of Regina website or Facebook page.
