The offence exploded as the Saskatchewan Rush dumped the Las Vegas Desert Dogs 15-9 at Co-op Field on Saturday.
In the first quarter, Austin Shanks scored twice as the home squad jumped out to a 5-2 lead. Zach Manns, Clark Walter and Ryan Keenan also scored in the opening frame.
Saskatchewan would add five more goals in the 2nd thanks to Keenan who finished off the hat trick, Manns and Walter who scored their second of the game and Robert Church who returned from injury, putting Saskatchewan up 10-4 at the break.
Church added another in the third, along with Ryan Barnable, putting the Rush up 12-8 heading into the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Ryan Keenan scored his fourth of the game, plus Manns and Shanks added insurance markers as the Rush walked away with a 15-9 win.
At the dot, Jake Naso won 17/28 faceoffs. Between the pipes, Frank Scigliano made 29 saves for his fourth victory of the season.
Next up, the Rush take on Mark Matthews and the Rock in Toronto on Saturday, January 18th. Fans can listen to that game on 92.9 The Bull with Cody Janzen starting at 5:45PM Sask Time.
The Saskatchewan Rush are back on Co-op Field in a couple weeks, when the Albany FireWolves come to SaskTel Centre on Saturday, January 25th at 7:00PM.
