A fire on Sunday night will keep a major bridge in Saskatoon closed until at least tomorrow.
The fire melted a sanitary sewer line under University Bridge according to a statement from the city. The line has been temporarily bypassed.
An inspection of the line has been scheduled for tomorrow. An initial assessment by engineers did not reveal any structural concerns.
The pedestrian walkway on the south side of the bridge remains open, but the Meewasin Trail underneath the east side of the bridge is still closed.
