REGINA—An investigation is underway after a body was pulled out of Wascana Creek this morning.
Just after 9:00 am, Regina Police and Regina Fire were sent to AE Wilson Park.
Several Police officers and firefighters arrived in the park, followed by the Regina Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team.
When our reporter arrived at the scene, there was a body visible on the shoreline. None of the officers and firefighters at the scene would confirm what happened, how long the person had been in the creek, or how the person ended up in the creek.
In a news release, the Regina Police Service says the body of a male was located in the water, and that person’s name will not be released at this time.
They are asking for members of the public to come forward if they have any information that would help the investigation.
