When your kids pull out the pots and pans, the garbage cans, don’t stop them. If they use spoons, brooms, bags and water bottles to entertain the neighbours, the next step for them could be performing on stage. Stomp celebrates their 30th anniversary touring Regina and then moving toward Winnipeg before heading back to the U.S. Last night the atmosphere at the Conexus Arts Centre was electric with a non-stop show that held no dialogue, just wonderment at the percussion, movement and visual comedy from the performing artists. Sometimes walking into a performance with little or no idea of what to expect is a good idea. Stomp supplies entertainment for the whole family. Turn off your cell phone, sit back, watch and yes – participation is involved.
