Highest number of COVID-19 cases in SK in one day are reported as 34 new cases are confirmed

The province has recorded its largest one-day total of COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan.

34 new confirmed cases are being announced by the provincial government breaking the old record of 30 set on March 28th.

Of those 34, 29 are in the Far North region as areas like La Loche and Beauval are dealing with outbreaks,  four of the new cases are in the north region with one in Saskatoon.

Of the 467 cases, 154 are considered active with 68 in the Far North region. Two have recovered bringing the provincial total to 307.

11 are in hospital, four are in intensive care with three of those four in Saskatoon.

167 of the cases are in the 20-39 age range with another 152 in the 40-59 age range.

49 percent of the cases involve men.
