Monday is the 43rd federal election, with polls open in Saskatchewan from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Saskatchewan spokesperson for Elections Canada, Marie-France Kenny, said the first task for most is figuring out where to vote.
The answer is on your voter information card or you can go to the Elections Canada website and put in your postal code.
Don’t forget to take your driver’s licence for identification, if you don’t have one, then you will need two other pieces of I.D.
If you are worried you won’t make it to your polling station in time, Kenny said as long as you are there by 7:30 p.m., you will get in.
“Anybody who is still in line at 7:30 p.m. would be asked to enter the location, then we’d close the doors and they’d still get to vote,” Kenny said.
Voting hours across the country have been staggered, so most will begin and end around the same time.
For example, in Ontario, the polls are open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., but they are two hours ahead of Saskatchewan. Pacific Time is a bit different, with polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Monday night 620 CKRM will have live coverage with Drew Postey and Mackenzie Read every half hour beginning at 7:30 p.m..
Results will also be posted on here as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages.
