Canada’s Farm progress Show begins this week in Regina

Over 30,000 people are expected to attend the Canada Farm Progress show, which opens Wednesday in Regina.

Manager Shirley Janeczko said there are over 500 exhibits at the show, featuring the latest in high-tech farm equipment.

She said there will be over 500 visitors from 55 countries including Brazil and Ethiopia.

“As well as we have the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, Australians, and the U.S.A.,” Janeczko said. “China, India, Mongolia, so it’s going to be a pretty busy international business centre this year.”

Janeczko said foreign visitors come to study and buy farm machinery.

She adds the farm progress show has over a 400 million dollar impact on the provincial economy.
