Environment Canada is anticipating a spring storm to strike southern Saskatchewan.

The weather agency says overnight rain will switch to a heavy snowfall, with at least five-10 cm expected, and even more in some areas.

The impacted area includes Yorkton, Melville, Moosomin, Kipling, Oxbow, and Carlyle.

Environment Canada sats snowfall warnings may be issued if the system profresses, and the system should exit the southeast by Saturday morning.
