RPS take support role in New Year’s Eve death investigation

The Regina Police Service is taking a support role in an investigation into the death of a man on New Year’s Eve.

Police were called to a home on the 1500 block of Cameron Street on December 31st to assist with a house fire.

A man was found dead inside the house and the next of kin was notified.

The Saskatchewan Coroners’ Service, Regina Fire and Protective Services will lead the investigation.

RPS says it is not the appropriate lead agency and officers will provide support as the investigation continues.
