U of R students find making masks to be successful endeavour

Four students at the University of Regina have been busy sewing masks for charity.

SaskMasks started as a Facebook and Instagram initiative, but once word got out as to what the four were doing, the demand grew.

Robyn Ham is a co-founder of SaskMasks and says they quickly had to adapt once word got out as to what they were doing.

“The demand was definitely there as people wanted masks.” co-founder Robyn Ham said. “We quickly had to recruit some sewers and others to help out and now we are churning out about 100 to 200 masks per day.

Net proceeds from the masks go to Carmichael Outreach, the Regina Food Bank and the Regina YWCA.
