Some of the future stars of the hardwood court are competing in Toronto this week as part of GloblJam 2023. The tournament features the best players under the age of 23 on both Women’s and Men’s teams.

University of Regina Cougars basketball player Jade Belmore was selected as a member for Canada’s Womens U23 team.

On Wednesday, Team Canada played their first game as they picked up a 98-42 win over of the BAL Select squad from Africa.

Belmore played just over ten minutes and had five points with five rebounds  in Team Canada’s win.

Team Canada returns to action on Thursday when they meet Team USA.
