Saskatchewan Roughriders sign LB Deon Lacey

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Deon Lacey to a contract.

The American linebacker has spent the last three seasons in the NFL, most recently with the Miami Dolphins. He has 20 career tackles in the NFL, including four from last season.

Before his NFL time, he spent three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos, and helped the team win the 2015 Grey Cup. He has registered 114 defensive tackles, 68 special teams tackles, seven sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown so far in his CFL career.

Lacey turns 30 in July. For Collegiate Football, he played with West Alabama for four seasons, and was named to four All-American teams and was named the Gulf Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.
