Candidates finalized for trio of provincial byelections

The final list of approved candidates have been announced for the three provincial byelections happening in southern Saskatchewan.

There are five candidates each for Regina Coronation Park and Lumsden-Morse, while four are vying for the Regina Walsh Acres Constituency.

Regina Coronation Park:

  • Noor Burki, New Democratic Party (N. D. P.)
  • Olasehinde Ben Adebayo, Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan
  • Kendra Anderson, Saskatchewan Green Party
  • Riaz Ahmad, Saskatchewan Party
  • Reid Hill, Sask Progress

 Lumsden-Morse:

  • Les Guillemin, Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan
  • Kaitlyn Stadnyk, New Democratic Party (N. D. P.)
  • Isaiah Hunter, Saskatchewan Green Party
  • Blaine McLeod, Saskatchewan Party
  • Jon Hromek, Saskatchewan United Party

Regina Walsh Acres:

  • Jared Clarke, New Democratic Party (N. D. P.)
  • Rose Buscholl, Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan
  • Joseph Reynolds, Saskatchewan Green Party
  • Nevin Markwart, Saskatchewan Party

Elections Saskatchewan announced there will have been 370 vote by mail applications approved so far, and that nearly all election jobs have been filled.

August 1 is the vote by mail application deadline

Voting will be held August 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10.

A total of 36,757 voter information cards are in the mail to residents in the three constitiuencies.
