Regina Police have launched a death investigation after a man was found dead Thursday night on the 1800 block of St. John Street just east of downtown.

Officers were called to the scene just before 11:30 p.m., where the person was declared deceased by both investigators and EMS.

Police say the identity of the deceased has been confirmed, however his name will not be released at this time.

Investigators say right now to many questions remain unanswered to determine if foul play was a factor nor not.
