Pats hire Evan McFeeters as Assistant Coach

 

 

The Regina Pats have filled out their coaching staff with the team announcing the hiring of Evan McFeeters as the team’s new assistant coach.

Over the past eight seasons, McFeeters has coached in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Canmore Eagles, Brooks Bandits and Sherwood Park Crusaders from 2016-23. Last year, the 35-year-old led the Crusaders to the second round of the playoffs.

Prior to joining Sherwood Park, McFeeters was an assistant coach with the Brooks Bandits (2020-22), in 2022, the Bandits claimed the AJHL Championship and a National Junior A Championship.

The Canmore, Alberta product began his coaching career with the Cochrane Generals in the Alberta Junior B Hockey League.

He was a guest coach for Canada West at the 2019 World Junior A Challenge and as an Assistant Coach with Canada West at the 2022 World Junior A Challenge.

“We are very pleased to add Evan McFeeters to our hockey club,” Regina Pats VP, Hockey Operations & GM Alan Millar said. “Evan brings good experience to our team from his successes at various levels, and will play an important role, not only in the competitiveness of our team, but also the development of our players.”
