Another pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the Queen City this weekend – the second in as many nights.
Regina police units were sent to the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Embury Street just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night after a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The investigation found that a 51-year-old woman was walking southbound across Victoria Avenue at Embury Street before a vehicle in the right eastbound lane of Victoria did not stop and struck her. A vehicle in the left lane had initially stopped to allow the woman to cross.
She was transported to hospital by EMS; police believe her injuries are not life threatening.
The driver of the vehicle identified themselves to officers at the scene.
The Regina Police Service say the collision is still under investigation.
