Police and emergency services were on the scene of a collision between a train and a vehicle late this morning at Winnipeg Street and First Avenue North.

Thankfully only minor injuries were reported and the scene was cleared fairly quickly.

The train blocked Broad Street and First Avenue North, as well as Winnipeg and First Avenue North.

The lone adult male occupant of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene by EMS and released, police said in an email late this morning.

The scene has since been cleared and traffic is once again moving as usual.
