‘Life-threatening’ injuries for 27-year-old driver from Ring Road rollover

A 27-year-old man is in hospital with what law enforcement say are “life-threatening” injuries after a rollover off the a Ring Road ramp on Monday afternoon.

Members from the Regina Police Service received a report of a collision and were dispatched at about 3:30 p.m. to the off-ramp from Albert Street North that connect drivers to Ring Road South.

Police initially learned that the truck sped off the ramp, flipped and then rolled onto a nearby grassy area. Officers found people were gathered around the driver who had been ejected from the vehicle.

Paramedics transported the driver to hospital as police closed off the road to gather statements from several witnesses.

Regina Police say the collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information that has not already spoken to police are is asked to contact the Regina Police Service.
