The investigation into a serious collision between a semi and a pedestrian at one of Regina’s busier intersections continues.
Regina Police say they were sent to the intersection of Prince of Wales Drive and Victoria Avenue just before 11 a.m. Monday morning after getting a report of the accident.
Preliminary investigation indicates the semi was northbound on Prince of Wales Drive and turning east (or right) onto Victoria Avenue East while the pedestrian, a 68-year-old woman, was crossing Victoria Avenue East from the south side of the roadway, heading to the north side.
The area was closed to traffic until around 2:30 as collision reconstruction experts did their work.
The woman is in hospital.
Anyone who saw all or part of the accident is asked to call Regina Police to share any information they may have.
