Meadow Lake RCMP arrest four individuals after man was shot while driving

RCMP in Meadow Lake have arrested and charged suspects who were involved in a shooting on Saturday night.

Two men were shot at while driving near the intersection of 7th Avenue West and 5th Street West in Meadow Lake. The 32-year-old driver suffered a single gunshot wound to his back while the 50-year-old passenger was injured as well.

After learning from the victims that the alleged suspects fled the scene in a white four-door Chevrolet, officers noticed a vehicle fitting their description leaving the city on a rural road. Police attempted to stop them from leaving, but the suspects managed to escape in the vehicle.

Officers continued to pursue the white Chevy until the suspects lost control and crashed into the bushes on Range Road 610.

37-year-old Richard Angus, 30-year-old Corey Bouvier, 25-year-old Joshua Matheson and 25-year-old Charley Seright were charged and arrested for Flight from Police and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, however no firearms were located in the vehicle during the arrest.

Police are still searching for 30-year-old Lennex Merasty-Morin who is facing a number of charges including offences related to this incident. There is a warrant for his arrest.
