Man faces charges after stolen vehicle found

A 27-year-old man is facing charges after a stolen vehicle was found early Tuesday morning.

The Regina Police Service says at about 3:30am, officers found a vehicle that was confirmed stolen.

Police say when officers attempted to stop the vehicle near Dewdney Avenue and Albert Street, the driver evaded police.

A spike belt was deployed nearby and the vehicle stopped shortly after.

RPS says Scott Pelletier is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and flight from peace officer.

Pelletier will make his first court appearance on January 14th.
