As the Saskatchewan Roughriders returned to practice on Wednesday, the team offered their thoughts and condolences to those who were affected by the recent tragic events at the communities of James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon.
A series of stabbings at several locations resulted in the deaths of 10 people along with 18 others injured on early Sunday morning.
Riders quarterback Cody Fajardo began his media availability by offering condolences to those who were affected by the tragedy.

Head Coach Craig Dickenson also expressed his support.
“Just want to express our sympathy, our condolences and our support, it makes you realize that football is just a game and there’s a lot of other stuff going on in the world and we’re sure hoping they are able to recover and move forward, just a horrible thing and our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
