Fatal house fire in North Battleford determined to be murder-suicide

RCMP in the Battlefords say a fatal house fire earlier this month was a murder-suicide.

On June 4, the North Battleford Fire Department and other emergency responders were called to a house fire where the body of a 39-year-old woman and her two kids, an 11-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl were found dead.

After an extensive investigation into the death, it has been determined that the mother, 39-year-old Tammy Fiddler, killed her two children, seven-year old Tessa and 11-year-old Wesley Bryant.

Officers conducted over 30 interviews in addition to several neighbourhood inquiries from residents living in close proximity to the residence.
