Saskatchewan forage producers have a new internet tool to help increase production.
The Saskatchewan Forage Council has launched Forage U-Pick.
Project manager Julie MacKenzie says the forage species selective interactive tool is useful for farmers across Western Canada.
MacKenzie says the Forage U-Pick program provides options for producers to pick the best type of grass species or legumes for their particular farm soil type.
The production tool includes a seeding rate and weed control outline.
She says it can be used on a mobile device or laptop computer.
MacKenzie says the forage information website is a joint project of farm organizations across Western Canada.
Forage U-Pick can be found on the Saskatchewan Forage Council website.
