Precautionary health advisory issued for Clearwater River Dene Nation after positive COVID-19 tests for two who attended a wake and funeral

Two individuals who attended a wake on Wednesday and funeral on Thursday in the Clearwater River Dene Nation have tested positive for COVID-19 after showing symptoms.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority and Inter-Tribal Health Authority have declared a precautionary health advisory as a result.

Anyone who attended the events is being asked by the SHA to immediately self-isolate and monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days.

Some of the most common symptoms include a fever, headache, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, a runny nose or diminished sense of taste or smell.
