The Saskatchewan Roughriders are bringing back a key piece to the defensive line next season.
Makana Henry signed a two year contract extension with the Riders, allowing him to return for his fifth and sixth seasons with the team.
Henry played all 18 games with the Riders in the regular season, starting 11 of those games. He registered 26 tackles and three sacks in 2019.
Career wise, Henry has 72 tackles in four seasons in the CFL, all with the Riders.
Off the field, Henry has also been a big presence, giving back to local charities and non-profit organization in the province. He has been the Riders Community Service Award recipient for three straight years, and in 2018, he was nominated for the Jake Gaudaur Veterans’ Award.
Henry played his junior football with the Burlington Braves.
