Regina Police are on the scene of a single vehicle collision on the Albert Street west service road.

Police were called to the scene at noon on Monday, where it appears the vehicle veered into the ditch between the service road and Albert Street, striking two trees in the process.

An elderly woman driving the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries. It is not known what caused her to lose control of her vehicle.

The collision is still under investigation, and collision re-constructionists are still on the scene.

The west service road has since re-opened.
