Regina Police are investigating a stabbing that took place over the weekend in the city’s north central area.

On Saturday afternoon at about 3:30 PM, police were called to the 1100 block of Montague street for a report of a weapons offence. Early indication was a 20 year-old man was injured and approached a residence requesting help.

Then, a 22 year-old man that is believed to be involved in the incident was discovered. He too suffered injuries, and required medical attention.

Further investigation led police to charge the 22 year-old man with attempted murder, while the 20 year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon.

The identity of the men will not be revealed as each man is the alleged suspect of the other.
