COVID-19 cases on the rise in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan is growing … in the number of COVID-19 cases.
The province released a situation report today that both Covid-19 hospitalizations and ICU admissions have increased since the last report, which was in the middle of August.
From August 14th to September 10th, there were 483 cases per week… an uptick from the 381 per week from July 17th to August 13th. There were 594 hospitalizations, or 149 per week, and 38 ICU admissions, or 10 per week.

Test positivity is up from 7.4 per cent in the previous reporting period to 8.9 per cent.
The number of deaths decreased slightly from 27 in the previous reporting period, to 25 in the most recent one.

New outbreaks have decreased from 46 to 41, although Regina has 14 care homes currently listed as having outbreaks according to the province’s website.
