Saskatchewan’s Junior “B” league down to 11 for 2020-21 season

There has been no indication from the Prairie Junior Hockey League about what their intentions for the upcoming season is, but if they do hit the ice it will be one with less team.

The league has granted a one-year leave of absence to the Assiniboia Southern Rebels because of COVID-19.  The team says there are more unknowns than knowns right now so they are making the decision to not ice a team this season as it would be irresponsible to the community and others involved with the organization.

The move leaves the league with 11 teams including the Regina Capitals, the Pilot Butte Storm and the Saskatoon Quakers.
